I have never written a Review, so here goes. I'll do this by noting the pros and cons of the game, then give a very brief summary. Pros - - 3 man/woman teams - Huge Character Selection - Customization system for weapons and players - Original Storyline with characters having distinct personalities - Mousou/Story Mode is well thought out - Multiple difficulty settings (This helps if you either want to improve your character greatly or just see the story without hassle.) Cons - - Some of the voice acting or in-game voices are just plain annoying or horriblely done (Yes, Wei Yan and Xu Shu, I mean you! But kinda funny at the same time.) - No additional Modes (Mousou/Story and Free only!) - The difficulty setting are so unbalance (Normal: Able to kill peon with one hit; Hard: took 8 hits to kill peon and he killed me in 3!) - Areas aren't as interactive as in other DW or SW games (Climb ladders, swim in water, etc.) - No real strategy involved Summary: If you are a fan of any of the DW or SW games, this will be a treat because it the killing spree action we have all grown to love with a story that is actually quite good in my opinion. Anyone new to the series should have no trouble picking up this game, (it's my opinion that a tutorial is not necessary), but may get bored of the repetative nature of the game. I like the combo system of hit and power hit that they included (typical of both DW and SW series), but hate that the mousou bar doesn't recharge with damage dealt (SW trait). Koei Fan Rating - 10/10 Average gamer Rating - 7/10 Enjoy!Read full review
As any Dynasty Warriors fan can expect this is a pure port. Which means its basically just an overrpriced PS2 game. Its the same graphically as the PS2 version, which honestly doesnt compare with other Dynasty Warriors/Samurai Warriors games anyway. Heres the good and the bad. The Good Classic Dynasty Warriors/Samurai Warriors action. Interesting spin on the original games. Innovative team oreinted style gameplay. Best hack and slasher mechanics, as all of these type of games are. The Bad Truly bad graphics, its sub par for the PS2 so why would you settle for the same on the 360? Horrible and repetitive voice acting. You can go over ten minutes without much action at times. Very non-strategic which deviates from many of the newer Dynasty Warriors games. Not alot of differences in storylines, theres basicallyh only 4 ways you can beat the game. Can get downright boring at times. All and all this game can help pass the time but there are a whole lot better Dynasty Warriors games out there check out Dynasty Warriors 6 if you really want to play one, kick this one to the curb. The Verdict: RENT it.Read full review
Warriors Orochi is the culmination of the greatest fighters in Japan's history vs the greatest fighters in China's history vs the evil serpent king, Orochi. Play as a 3 man team, switch characters on the fly to recharge your "resting" character's hp and musou gauge. Plenty of levels to play, 4 different story modes with 15 levels per mode. Over 75 different generals from the SW and DW games!
If you like dynasty warriors or samurai warriors you will LOVE this game. On the fly switching between characters, their health and moshu recharge when they are not currently used. No more replacing weapons you just fuse them together now to make them more powerful. GREAT PURCHASE! You will not regret buying this game.
Great game if you are Koei fan of Dynasty & Samurai Warriors. The story looks nice and appealing but the game can get repetitive as usual for these type of games. You can get bored but a nice game to pick up and play when wanting to fight and slash from time to time.
